- Curb Appeal Goes a Long Way- The better your home looks visually, the more appealing the home. Inspectors look at landscaping, driveways, walkways, fences, and other exterior features. Take the time to ensure all gutters are draining water away so there is no mud or pooling, that your yard is raked, mowed, and well maintained, before an inspection appointment. Some people even plant some fragrant annuals in their walkways or around the front of their homes.
